Exploring Basquiat’s “Signs” Exhibition in Seoul

ArtNomads visited the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit in Seoul titled “Signs: Connecting Past and Future,” running until January 31, 2026. Initially skeptical due to its marketing, we found the exhibit expansive, showcasing 70 pieces and personal notebooks. While the integration of Korean artists was less successful, the exhibit is highly recommended for visitors.

Sharjah Biennial 16 – An Art surprise in the desert

We attended the 2024 Sharjah Biennial; after 7 days and well over 1000 pictures, we can say the biennial was a welcome “surprise in the desert”!

Dubai, with its glitzy towers, gets all the press, but it’s Sharjah to the south that appears to have a solid focus on the arts, putting all that oil & gas revenue to good work.
